The T7 s OEM side stand return spring is a bit on the weak side and has a tough time holding up the side stand. This is especially true over rough terrain. If the side stand is allowed to swing down, even a couple of inches, the side stand safety switch will kill the engine. You re riding down a desert two-track and you hit a drip in the trail and your bike dies… way less than ideal.
Our heavy-duty side stand return spring has nearly DOUBLE (95% more) the spring rate of the OEM spring. Originally designed for (and included with) our Camel Toe side stand, the spring is available on its own as an upgrade for your bike s lackluster OEM spring.
